How we work
True Impact gives people ownership of a solution, new skills and the power to write their own future.

We’re teaching sustainable change, modelling how it’s done and supporting people who catch the vision and create their own. We want to see people gain the ability to leverage business and personal development over dependency on others.

What Sustainable Change Looks Like in Practise
All our projects have the same focus, to upskill, offer free education and equip people to make and implement life-changing decisions.
From saving strategies to keep safe water flowing (MADZI ALIPO), planting trees that bring in household income (TREE PROJECT) to making autonomous choices about ones body and self (BRAVE, TILITONSE CENTRE).

How we Model Business Development and Change
Fisherman’s Rest Community Projects protects a nature reserve and old forest. On site we have fruit valley, workshops, a test water point, water point parts manufacturing, a water testing lab and a Fisherman’s Rest Community Projects Safe House built off site.

We trial, test, pilot and ensure the projects we do, work.

The Art of Supporting People Well as an NGO/Charity
If your car breaks it’s much easier to get it fixed than to be shown how to fix it. In Malawi the services, resources and finances needed to solve a problem are likely not available.
Therefore if we just fix things or offer free things, without building skills, teaching or strategically partnering with people to enable self-help, we’re not helping for the future at all.
That’s why we work with local partners who are willing to level with us and do the work it takes to make change possible. It’s also why our projects and programmes are so successful.

The Results of Our Work
For over a decade our local area has been changing.
Mindsets, landscape and opportunity are growing a future without poverty.

Research & Collaboration
We partner with global and local institutions to carry out research, share data manufacture innovative water point parts.
(Predominantly for the purpose of water security)
